I am Jessica Awurama Frimpong, a journalism student at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UNIMAC) in Ghana. I have been learning and practicing storytelling, news writing, and news production. I also joined the CNN Academy’s Voices from the Global SouthJournalism Programme, where I learned how to tell stories from my country that connect with wider global issues and perspectives.
I have been following the incredible work your organization does to give voice to the voiceless, shape journalists and strengthen the media landscape, and it would mean so much to visit and learn directly from your team. I am very interested in spending a short period observing how your newsroom operates, participating in any workshops, or simply learning from your space and the people who make it thrive.
I truly want to align myself with your organization which will give me the exposure and guidance to be the international journalist I dream of becoming.
Thank you for considering. I would be truly grateful if you could let me know if there is a possibility to visit or learn from your organization for a short time.
Warm regards,
Jessica Awurama Frimpong
