The Centre for Information Integrity in Africa (CIIA) at Stellenbosch University is offering a postdoctoral fellowship, available to start immediately. This opportunity is ideal for researchers interested in exploring critical issues related to information integrity across the continent. Fellows will engage in research on one or more of the following topics:
- Disinformation Studies
- Artificial Intelligence and its impact on African societies
- Foreign Information Manipulation and Influence (FIMI)
- Social, economic, and political drivers of disinformation in Africa
- Online hate speech and extremism
- Countering disinformation through media literacy, fact-checking, and investigative journalism
- Regulation and content moderation policies
