The Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) is an esteemed fellowship initiative designed to support educational projects at African higher education institutions. Managed by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and funded by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY), the programme has awarded 705 fellowships to African-born scholars since its inception in 2013. This initiative underscores CCNY’s unwavering commitment to enhancing higher education in Africa.
The CADFP offers a unique opportunity for African universities in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and member institutions of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and partner universities with the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) to host African-born scholars currently residing in the United States or Canada. These scholars collaborate on projects that include research, graduate student teaching/mentoring, and curriculum co-development. Click here for more information and to apply.
