The South African Communication Association (SACOMM) invites submissions for its 2025 conference, which will be themed Currents: People, Power, and Practice.

Hosted by Nelson Mandela University’s Department of Media and Communication from 8–11 September 2025, the conference will explore issues across media freedom, digital democracy, media sustainability, and communication power structures, with a special focus on Southern Africa and the Global South.  

Submissions may address areas including, but not limited to:
